A graduate of Hofstra University School of Law in 1986, Wayne J. Mazur has been practicing and serving his clients for 35 years. As a partner with Mazur & Bocketti, Esqs. Formerly known as Mazur, Bocketti & Mazur, Esqs., a firm that had been in practice for more than 50 years, and now having merged with the Law firm of Mallow, Konstam & Nisonoff, P.C., a firm also with more than 50 years of experience, at the newly named firm of now Mazur, Bocketti, Nisonoff & Khavulya, P.C., Mr. Mazur, has specialized in the field of Matrimonial and Family Law, but also engages in many areas of practice.
He has devoted his time and service to specializing in the area of Family Law, including divorce, separation, annulment, spousal support, child custody, and child support, including modification and enforcement, family offense proceedings, and adoption in both the Supreme Court and Family Court. Mr. Mazur also specializes in the drafting of pre-nuptial and postnuptial agreements. Mr. Mazur has successfully tried and achieved a number of precedent-setting cases that have changed and established new law in the area of Family/Matrimonial Law in the State of New York.
Mr. Mazur also engages in extensive Appellate Practice, having been successful in most of the appeals he has prepared. Many of these appeals have resulted in decisions upon which precedent has been established and relied upon by the New York State Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court, in which Mr. Mazur is admitted to practice and argue.
Mr. Mazur also practices quite extensively in the areas of real estate, landlord-tenant, estate, and criminal law.
